“We enjoyed our stay at Clarendon. Everything we needed was to hand in the house and it’s location close to the centre of Sheringham was ideal.
“Perfect house and perfect location - we stayed here Christmas 2022 and it was amazing, upon arrival we found a hamper packed with goodies, the house is lovely, its very spacious and very well decorated, yes the house is old and lived in but we loved it especially with young children , the area of Sheringham is a little Gem, once we parked up and settled in we didnt use the car until we left. supermarkets about 5 min walk away, plenty of local shops and restaurants, the beach is a 5 minute walk away and is lovely. ”

“Excellent!”

“Welcoming large family holiday home with everything you could possibly need. Very comfortable beds with fresh linen and towels. Prime position with easy walking distance to all of sheringham’s lovely amenities. Was lucky and got parking near. Benefits from little enclosed patio garden. ”

“Our family of ten arrived from Canada for a stay. We enjoyed staying at the Clarendon. The house was as advertised and accommodated us all. It was well equipped and provided everything we needed. We found the small fridge a bit difficult with ten people, even with a separate small freezer, but we managed. It was beautiful weather in Sheringham and upstairs was very warm, we wondered why we couldn’t open the windows in the top bedroom, they were painted shut, was this a safety thing, if so it would have been nice to have a fan up there. We would definitely stay there again.”

“We had a great week staying in Clarendon. The house is a beautiful mix of traditional and modern style and has all the facilities you need for a great stay. No off road parking, but we knew this and street parking was fine for us. I would recommend turning the baby gate round on top floor so it’s a bit easier to get round 😁. The location is great too, a few minutes from town and the beach. Would highly recommend for large family or group of friends. ”

“Clarendon is a lovely property - large, airy and clearly recently fully refurbished. It was very clean on arrival and, apart from toilet rolls and a cheese grater, I don’t think we missed anything! We couldn’t access online TV while we were there. We were told it was an error with the provider TalkTalk, and we did miss it with 3 teens, but hopefully it will be fixed for further occupants. It wasn’t easy to park on the road the house was on, and a house with 5 bedrooms is likely to need more than one space but we mainly stayed in Sheringham, or caught the train, so once we got a spot we left the car in it. The train station is very close and the service to Cromer and Norwich is excellent. I would definitely recommend this property to families/groups wanting to be within walking distance of everything in Sheringham.”

“There was not much more we could have asked from The Clarendon. A comfortable house with plenty of room for 6 adults, 3 children and two dogs. Ideally situated just behind Sheringham’s main street and within easy walking distance of the beach, shops, restaurants and the railways. Although street parking is very limited at the house, the nearby station car park can be used 24 hours a day and was £28 for the whole week. We hardly used the cars other than to visit West Runton beach, which is dog friendly and has plenty of parking. Everything we needed was provided in the house and a couple of bottles of wine were a welcome gift on arrival!
Three bath/shower rooms meant we could all get ready in a short space of time with adequate hot water for all. Be warned, though, that the top floor does indeed mean using steep, shallow stairs with low sloping ceilings at the top, so best left for the less creaky youngsters.
We had a lovely week and would certainly look to book here again next time we come to Norfolk. ”

“House was spacious and had been updated to a very high standard. It has the character of an old propery while having everyting you need. The location is great, a very short walk away from the town and beach. ”

“We stayed at the Clarendon as 2 families in July 2021, which included 4 adults and 4 children. The location could not have been better, situated 5 minutes from the beach and in particular the sea, was ideal for the children. With the shops, pubs and restaurants being even closer, there really was something to suit everybody. Sheringham is a beautiful, traditional seaside town which is an ideal base for those also wanting to explore Norfolk. The accommodation is a spacious townhouse with the perfect mix of tradition and modern amenities. As a family with 3 children everything that is needed was supplied (eg washing machine, tumble drier) You name it they had it!! On arrival the home was spotlessly clean with plenty of fresh linen available.
Overall we had a fantastic weeks holiday and would recommend this accommodation to both older and younger visitors. We look forward to returning next year. ”

“I recently stayed at Clarendon property, with a party size of 4 adults and a dog. The house is in a great location close to all amenities. It was very clean and comfortable and perfect for all our needs. Highly recommended.”

“Clarendon house is a great house. It has been renovated fairly recently and while keeping lots of character and charm the newly done kitchen, bathrooms and showers were excellent. The carpets are lovely and clean and of good quality so that it is very quiet when ones are going up and down the stairs. The beds were so comfortable that we all slept really well. There were plenty of towels and bedding, all nice and new and fresh. The kitchen was fitted out really well and had everything we could possibly need. We didn't use the courtyard particularly as the weather wasn't great but it's a nice little space. The position of Claredon is excellent. 2 minutes from the town and maybe 3 from the beach. We took a dog and the only thing to be aware of is that dogs cannot go on the near part of the beach between May and September/October so you have to venture further if you want to let them off onto the beach. Its not that far, but just a consideration. We could only park outside rarely but we always found somewhere fairly nearby. We were really impressed with the house and the way it had been prepared for our stay.”
